Mitie & GBE Converge
GBE Converge helps strengthen Mitie’s intelligent buildings offerings with specialist design, installation and management of bespoke fire, security, and IT networked systems.
Holistic fire and security solutions
With over 20 years of experience, GBE Converge expertly delivers a broad range of fire and security solutions, including fire detection and suppression systems, access control, intruder alarms, CCTV and security management systems. It also provides the IT and network infrastructure to support these systems, providing customers with fully-integrated solutions and ongoing management and monitoring.
Industry and market leaders
This acquisition builds on Mitie’s position as the leader in the intelligence and technology-led fire and security markets. It also complements our other acquisitions, RHI Industrials and JCA Engineering, which form part of our portfolio for delivering complex engineering projects in critical environments.
Working with customers across all major market segments in both the UK and Europe, GBE Converge delivers and supports systems in data centres, IT, hospitality, financial institutions, healthcare and local and national government properties. It also holds key industry certifications and accreditations to install and maintain systems for many of the leading equipment manufacturers, such as AMAG, Cisco, Honeywell, Panduit, Commscope, Excel, Corning and Siemens.
As our customers’ needs for facilities transformation evolve and demand grows for ‘smart buildings’, Building Management Systems are increasingly converging with Fire & Security platforms. The acquisition of GBE brings sophisticated intelligence-based Fire & Security capabilities and enables Mitie to broaden the range of projects we can self-deliver for our customers in the built environment.
